Young reported the vehicle turned around the he and his cousin got into an altercation with the occupants in the vehicle; a white male and Hispanic male. Young reported during the altercation the Hispanic male pulled out a small caliber pistol and he was shot in the left leg. Young was transported to CCH-ER for injuries suffered in the incident.***During the course of this investigation the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Detectives obtained evidence that the victim in this case Clarence Wade Young Jr. was shot while he and 2 others (Michael Edward Moore Jr. (17) of 518 W. Weatherspoon St. Sanford and Dustin Louis Kellum (18) of 112 Post Office Rd. Sanford) were engaging in an attempted robbery in the early morning hours of May 1, 2013 on Fountainwood Dr. Moore was arrested and charged w/ obstructing officers and filing a false police report; he was released into the custody of his parents. Kellum was arrested and charged w/ obstructing officers and filing a false police report; he was held under $5,000 secured bond. Hall was arrested yesterday at 9:40 Am for an incident involving Smith on Sunday night where Hall broke into her residence and assaulted and strangled Smith. Hall was charged with 1st degree Burglary and assault by strangulation and was given no bond at the time of arrest but the bond was later reduced to $1,000 secured.

McKoy reported on 2/19/2013 2 black males entered his residence and robbed him at gun point. During a search of the crime scene CSI detectives found 76 grams of marijuana in McKoy's residence.

12/3/2012, Christopher Dale Lynch, of 2460 S. Plank Rd. called 911 reporting two male subjects breaking into his residence. When deputies arrived on scene, Mr. Lynch advised the two male subjects were attempting to remove a large safe from his residence, at which time, he confronted the males. Mr. Lynch advised a short fight ensued, before the subjects ran. Mr. Lynch advised the two males were still in the area, on foot. With the assistance from the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the two male subjects were located in an abandoned house a short distance from 2460 S. Plank Rd. Jose Angel Moreno, 20, of 3405 North Ridge Dr. Sanford, NC and Antonio Ulysses Arciga, 21, of 778 Stanton Hill Rd. Carthage, NC were both arrested and charged with two counts each of Breaking and Entering, Larceny after Breaking and Entering, Possession of Stolen Goods, Safecracking and Conspiring to commit Breaking and Entering; one count each of Possession of Marijuana less than ½ ounce and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both subjects were placed in Lee County Jail under a $45,000 secured bond.

9/13/2012 At approximately 7:50 AM the Lee County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by a motorist who reported seeing several while males bringing property out of the woods on White Hill Rd. The caller described the men to be in a white Ford Mustang. A deputy on patrol in the area located the vehicle on Center Church Rd and attempted to stop the vehicle. After a brief vehicle chase the vehicle stopped in the parking lot of the Family Dollar on US #1 and 3 white males fled the scene on foot. All 3 suspects were apprehended by deputies after approximately an hour long search. Investigation revealed 2 buildings located at 2722 White Hill Rd. owned by Sherill Norman had been broken into overnight, which was in close proximity to where the suspects were seen taking the property out of the woods. Norman reported over $10,000 worth of power tools and a utility vehicle stolen. All property was recovered.
