Ammon's Farm Fourth of July Celebration 2014

Ammons Farm Fourth of July Celebration
It's that time of year again!  I'm talking about the annual Ammons Farm’s Fourth of July Celebration and Fireworks show!  A big thanks to Joel and Cindy Ammons for holding this event on their farm. This year’s annual Independence Day festivities and fireworks, located in the open field at 2702 Farrell Road helps raise funds for the Lee Christian School Booster Club and the Wounded Warrior Project. They will have inflatables, food and music and will be open to the public at 5 p.m. Friday and fireworks begin around 9:15 p.m. Arrive early to ensure you get a parking spot.

Updates will be provided to the public via the Ammons Farm Facebook page.
Please check their facebook page prior to the event for last minute changes or updates.

Now, for the "official" information...

In an effort to prevent grid locking of traffic we've seen in past years, LCSO and NCDOT will close Farrell Road once the parking fields are full.  This will be done to allow emergency vehicles to move as needed.  There will be NO ROADSIDE PARKING. If you plan to attend this event, it's suggested that you arrive early and be patience afterwards as the traffic exits the area.   (After the road is closed, local residents will need to provide ID in order to pass through the barricades)

If you plan on partaking in adult beverages, please ensure you have a designated driver. My staff along with NCSHP will be onsite monitoring vehicular traffic arriving and departing.
