Joint Operation Nets 3 Arrests and Lots of Drugs

A joint operation and investigation by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the Sanford Police Department has led to the arrest of three persons and the seizure of Cocaine and Marijuana. Members of the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and the Police Departments Tactical Narcotics Team executed a search warrant at 2606 Cox Mill Road, Sanford, and seized 54 grams of Crack Cocaine, 27 grams of powder Cocaine, and 18 grams of Marijuana. Agents arrested Ernest Montreal Smith, 29, of 944 Ranchost Street, Fayetteville, Kevin Devonne Judd, 29, of 422 Evergreen Street, Sanford, and Steven Elliot Mclean, 35, of 610 Greenland Drive, Sanford for Trafficking Cocaine, possession with intent to sell Marijuana, maintaining a dwelling to store drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Judd and Smith were each placed in the Lee County Jail under $400,000.00 secured bond. Mclean, who was also wanted by probation and parole, was placed in the Lee County Jail under $462,000.00 secured bond. The seized drugs have an estimated potential street value of approximately $27,000.00.
