Late Thursday,
July 12, 2018, Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Agents responded and
assisted Lee County Sheriff’s Office uniform deputies with a traffic stop at
the intersection of Swanns Station Road and McDougald Road. Deputies responded
to a report of an unresponsive male subject behind the wheel of an
automobile.
Deputies were able to revive the male subject later to be
identified as Richard Andrew Williams
Jr.. Deputies on scene located 17 dosage units of Alprazolam and one
marijuana vapor pin. Richard Williams Jr. was checked out by Lee County EMS
staff and Williams refused medical treatment. Williams was taken
into custody and transported to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
Williams was charged by agents with one count of possession with the intent to sell and deliver Alprazolam a schedule IV controlled substance, one count of felony maintaining a vehicle used to store and sell illegal controlled substance, and one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Williams was jailed under a $10,000.00 bond.
