afternoon November 1st, 2018 at approximately 3:30 pm North Carolina
State Troopers conducted a vehicle stop on U.S. Highway 421 south near the 421
business bypass.
Lee county Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agents were called by troopers to assist with the vehicle stop. During the investigation personnel on seen discovered that the operator of the vehicle, Joshua Lynn Hardy, age 32, of Bunnlevel NC, was entered wanted by North Carolina Probation and Parole, as an absconder. Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agents searched the vehicle and discovered one gram of crystal form methamphetamine, and one gram of marijuana, hidden inside the vehicle.

Agents transported Hardy to the Lee
County Sheriff’s office for processing and confinement. Agents charged Hardy
with one count of felony possession of methamphetamine, one count of
misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and one count of misdemeanor possession of
drug paraphernalia.
Hardy was jailed under no bond for the order of arrest for
absconding by the North Carolina Probation and Parole department, and $5,000.00
secured bond for the drug charges.
