UPDATE: 1/10/2020
Jordan Terrelle Blue (23) of 706 W. Williams St. Sanford NC was arrested and charged with misdemeanor larceny of aluminum cans from Tramway Volunteer Fire Department on 1/1/2020; he was release under $1,000 unsecured bond.
The suspect attempted to sell the cans at Lee Iron & Metal today.

On New Years day morning at approximately 6AM, Tramway Fire Department reported a larceny of donated aluminum cans.
As most of may know, cans are collected at our county fire departments and City of Sanford fire stations, then are sold to a recycling center, with all proceeds going to support the Lee County Chapter of the North Carolina Firefighters Burned Children's Fund.
Anyone having information of this incident, please contact the Sheriff's Office Investigative Division @ 919-718-4563.
