A local Sanford man is being sought after for us courtesy of WRAL.com and NC Wanted.com. Willard Eugene Smith is wanted for a murder that happened in June of 1995 near the Lee County/Chatham County line. A reward is being offered for his capture. I am glad that the new Sheriff is taking new approaches that can help solve crimes. I think something like this should of been done along time ago.
I appreciate the Sheriff's Dept. providing deputy traffic officers at Greenwood School in the mornings. The traffic flow is considerably better and safer.
