Straight Flush - Poker Game Shutdown, 5 Arrests Made


The Lee County Sheriff’s Office and Lee County Probation and Parole Office arrested five poker players Thursday on drug and gambling charges. A search warrant was executed at
6435 Sheriff Watson Road and discovered a high-stakes poker game being played, 135 grams of marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia. In addition, $28,630 in cash and a firearm were seized. As a result of the search, Tyrice Nathaniel Douglas, 24, of 6435 Sheriff Watson Road was charged with posses­sion with intent to sell and deliver mari­juana, maintaining a dwelling to store drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, gambling and probation violation. He was placed in the Lee County Jail under $40,000 secured bond. Tony Murchison, 34, of Aberdeen, Bobby McCrimmon, 55, of Aberdeen, Antonio Dewayne Caldwell, 30, of Saint Pauls and Elijah Omar Nabors, 23, of Godwin were all charged with gambling.
