The Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a sexual assault of an 11 yr. old Lee County child on 4/16/10. Investigation revealed the 11 yr. old female child had been molested by a live in boy friend of the child’s mother. This activity has reportedly gone on for a 5-6 yr. period. Aaron Scott Earnshaw (44) W/M of 1832 Rice Rd. Sanford was arrested on 04/18/10 at approximately 5:30AM at his home for attempted 1st degree Sexual Offense, Attempted Sex Offense by a Parental Role and taking Indecent Liberties w/ a Child. Earnshaw was held under $250,000 secured bond. Earnshaw is a registered sex offender.
The child’s mother Kathleen Mary Morin (45) W/F of 1832 Rice Rd. Sanford was arrested this morning for misdemeanor child abuse. Morin was charged for allowing the child to stay in an unsafe environment after having knowledge of the sexual allegations. Morin was held under $5,000 secured bond. Lee County Child Protective Services assisted in this investigation.
