Death Investigation on Post Office Road

10/22/2011 @ 3:23 PM deputies responded to 1941 Post Office RD. in reference to a man who had been shot in the chest. Upon deputies arrival they found Bobbie Gene Beal (51) of that address suffering from an apparent single gunshot wound to the chest. The victim’s wife Ester Beal of the same address reported during a domestic w/ her husband, her husband had taken out a pistol. She reported her husband had made the comment “I’ll end this right now” and pointed the weapon at his chest. The firearm discharged once into Beal’s chest. It is unclear if the weapon was discharged accidently or deliberately by the victim. Beal was pronounced dead at CCH and will undergo an autopsy at UNC Hospitals. The case is still under investigation.
