I've always had an abundance of appreciation for our men and women in uniform. To truly serve our great country and if need be, ready to make the ultimate sacrifice so you and I can live in a free world. Freedom isn't free. There is a cost.
I can say with a pretty high level of accuracy that most of you reading this has been affected one way or another by having a loved one serve in our military.
Today, I would like to honor a local solider, C.J. Lyles Jr of Sanford. C.J. is the son of Major Carlton Lyles of the Lee County Sheriff's Office. Carlton proudly served our country as well.
CJ, today, graduated from the Non-Commissioned Officers Academy Warrior Leader Course at Fort Bragg. Please help me congratulate this fine soldier!
