Six Arrested For Drugs at Local Business and Residence


Brandon Jermaine Dixon, 27, of 274 Surefire Lane, Sanford, was arrested on 3-29-2011 for possession with intent to sell Crack Cocaine, maintaining a vehicle to store drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia after Lee County Drug Agents and Sanford City Drug Agents executed a search warrant at an auto shop located at 827-D South Horner Blvd. Ralph Preston Walter, 51, unknown address, was also arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia as a result of the search. Dixon was placed in the Lee County Jail under $20,000 secured bond and Walter was placed under $500 secured bond.

Joshua Van Harris, 38, of 209 North Horner Blvd, Sanford was arrested on 3-30-2012 for possession with intent to sell a schedule IV controlled substance (Alprazolam), maintaining a vehicle to store drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and conspiracy after a surveillance operation by Lee County Drug Agents. Also charged in the operation was Frances Kay Beach, 62, of 4817 NC 27 West, Lillington, and Lori Ann Mcgee, 37, of 4817 NC 27 West, Lillington. Beach was charged with possession with intent to sell a schedule IV controlled substance (Alprazalam), Conspiracy, and maintaining a vehicle to store drugs and McGee was charged with sale and delivery of a controlled substance and conspiracy. A fourth suspect, Mary Darlene Mangum, 46, of 33 Alberta Lane, Cameron, was charged with simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Harris, Beach, and McGee were all placed in the Lee County Jail under $15,000 secured bond. Mangum was placed in the Lee County Jail under $500.00 secured bond. As a result of the operation, agents seized a small amount of Marijuana, 20 dosage units of Alprazalam and 284 dosage units of Percocet.

Every time you arrest one there is a chance that the message of hope and recovery can take root. Jails institutions and death, it ALWAYS ends the same.
