Braken Street Man Arrested For Child Porn

4/22/2013@ approximately 9:30 am Lee County Sheriff Detectives executed a search warrant of 306 Bracken St. Sanford NC for evidence of child pornography. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Detectives had been investigating this residence for the past several months.  Investigators seized 4 computers along w/ a large number of other media storage devices.

Investigators located thousands of child pornography videos and photographs on Garvin’s computer. Investigators also arrested Gerald Glenn Garvin (59) of 306 Bracken St. Sanford NC who was on scene when the search warrant was executed. Garvin was charged w/ 18 counts of 2^nd degree sexual exploitation of a minor and was held under $100,000 secured bond. It will take investigators several days to go through all the evidence seized and other charges in the case are expected.
