NOTICE
TO VOTERS
SEPTEMBER
10, 2013
We
are asking for the help of all voters during the September 10, 2013 Primary
Municipal Election. Five schools will be
polling places on Election Day and the hours of voting will be from 6:30 am to
7:30 pm. Those schools will be open as a
regular school day for the students so we are asking voters who want to vote at
their regular polling place to, if possible, avoid the peak hours for student
drop-off and pick-up. The busy time for
student drop-off in the morning is 7:15 am – 8:00 am and the busy time for
student pick-up in the afternoons is 1:45 pm – 3:30 pm.
Signs
will tell you where to park and how to get to the voting area. Curbside voting will be available at all
locations for the handicapped and/or elderly voters.
To
avoid the traffic confusion One Stop Early Voting is now available at the
Election Board Office at 225 S. Steele St., Sanford, NC, Monday through Friday,
8:00 am – 5:00 pm and on Saturday,
September 7, 2013 8:00 am – 1:00 pm. The
Early Voting site has curbside voting and a ramp for anyone with a walker, cane
or wheelchair.
The
following schools will be polling sites:
A1
– Southern Lee High School, 2301 Tramway Road, Sanford, NC
A2
– J. Glenn Edwards Elementary School, 3115 Cemetery Road, Sanford, NC
