11/22/2013 @ 5:48AM The Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from 69 Hickory Nut Ct. Sanford in reference to a man had been shot. Upon deputies arrival they found Anthony Wayne Giles (45) of that address unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. Giles was pronounced deceased on scene by CCH-EMS. Giles’s wife reported at approximately 5:45 AM a black male broke into the residence an announced “Sheriff”. Giles reported the man was carrying an assault type rifle and demanded money. Giles reported she gave the man what money was in the house and she was tied up. Giles described the man as wearing a black toboggan, dread locks pulled in a ponytail, grey colored sweat shirt w/ “Sheriff Dept.” and tan cargo pants. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $5000.00 reward to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest of the individual or individuals that were involved with the murder of Anthony Giles.
