Ray Norris (20) of 3200 Jefferson Davis Hwy was arrested and charged w/ 3rd
degree sexual exploitation of a minor (F), soliciting a child by computer (F)
and communicating threats (M).
The Sheriff’s Office received a report on
1/29/2014 that Norris had contacted an 11 yr old child via the internet and had
made inappropriate conversation. Sheriff’s ICAC Taskforce investigators
executed a search warrant on 3200 Jefferson Davis Hwy at approximately 1:00 PM and
seized several laptop computers, tablets and cell phones. Investigators located
child pornography and evidence that Norris had indeed made sexual advances to
an 11 yr old child. Norris was held under $30,000 secured bond.
