Four Arrested on Assault Charges During Drug Search

The following people were arrested at the Jack Pot Mini Mart on Lee Ave. Sanford while executing a search warrant for drugs. 

They were arrested in connection to an assault on Erick Federico Matilde that occurred at 574 Gunter Lake Rd. Sanford on 2/9/2014. Matilde suffered lacerations to his head and face during the incident.

·      Walter Xavier Benitez (22) W/M of 710 W. Main St. Sanford - Assault w/ deadly weapon inflicting serious injury – Bond $20,000 secured.

·      Nancy Ines Santiago (29) H/F of 911 Vance St. Sanford – Assault w/ a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury – Bond $10,000 secured.

·     Michael Devante McCrimmon (21) B/M of 312 Woodland Ave Sanford – Assault w/ a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury—Bond $10,000 secured.

·     Juan Carlos Cruz (28) W/M of 574 Gunter Lake Rd. Sanford Assault inflicting serious injury and possession of firearm by felon; he was held under $45,000 secured bond.
