Additional Arrests Made on Hickory Nut Murder Case

In regards to the home invasion and murder that occurred on Hickory Nut Ct (click here for press release) in 2013, four additional arrests have been made.


on 12/5/2014, the following were arrested and jailed;

Harley Joe Chavis (20) W/M of 318 Cathay Rd. Wilmington NC

Rodney Henry Mintz IV (24) W/M of 145 Bryan Rd. Wilmington NC

Anthony Derek Strickland (21) I/M of 615 Castine Way, Wilmington NC Emmanuel Edward Sanders (28) B/M of 3006 Thatch Ct. Castle Hayne, NC was apprehended in New Hanover County on 12/09/2014.

All four men are charged with Murder, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Kidnapping; they all are being held under no bond.

This case is ongoing and still being actively investigated.
