12:11 AM deputies responded at 4446 Steel Bridge Rd. Sanford to a gunshot
victim. Deputies on scene reported finding the victim, Glenn Peter Seeler of
that address suffering from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen area. Seeler
was transported to UNC Hospitals via helicopter.
Cheryl Lynn Pizza (33) W/F of
4446 Steel Bridge Rd. Sanford was arrested for attempted murder, assault w/ a
deadly weapon w/ intent to kill inflicting serious injury and discharging a
weapon into occupied property causing bodily injury; she was held under no
bond. Pizza stated to investigators that Seeler had taken her cell phone over a
dispute about some text messages and went into the bedroom with her phone.
Pizza reported she attempted to gain entry to the bedroom by shooting the door knob to door thus
striking Seeler through the door.
