County Drug Agents Bust Meth Lab In Sanford Neighborhood




On Thursday July 15th 2015 Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agents arrested Jerry Wayne Saunders age 41, and John Tucker Walsh age 17 both of 208 Currie Drive Sanford.

Both Saunders and Walsh were charged with 3 counts of possession of methamphetamine precursors and 1 count of manufacturing crystal methamphetamine.

It was Thursday July 9th  that Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agents responded to 208 Currie Drive Sanford, to investigate what uniformed Deputies believed to be a Crystal Methamphetamine lab. 

Agents secured the property and with the assistance of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations Clandestine Laboratory Response Team, agents seized all of the components consistent of a working Crystal Methamphetamine lab. Both Saunders and Walsh were jailed under a $20,000.00 secured bond.
