On 6/13/2016 @ 5:46 PM, the Lee
County Sheriff’s Office was called to 14 Jonathon Ln. Sanford NC in reference
to a fight in progress and a stabbing victim.
Upon deputies arrival they found Ronnie Franklin Salmon Jr. (36) of 14 Jonathon Ln. Sanford suffering from multiple stab wounds to his upper body. Salmon was transported to Central Carolina Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses reported seeing multiple people assaulting Salmon with knives, punching and kicking him. The motive for this assault is still under investigation, however this was not a random crime.

Three Lee County Residents have been arrested in this case:
Larry Tyrell Green (36) of 3533 June Rd. Sanford, Jessica
Ann McCafferty (29) of 4205 Smith Rd. Sanford and Kelsey Jo Bahnsen (25) of
1204 NC Hwy 42, Sanford all have been charged w/ 1st degree murder
and conspiracy. All three are being held under no bond.
