On Thursday June
15th 2017 Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agents discovered a
small Marijuana growing operation just outside of the Broadway city limits.
Agents seized approximately 162 Marijuana plants from behind the residence
located at 945 Swann Station Road Sanford. Agents arrested Angela Renee Obas,
age 42 of 945 Swann Station Road Broadway.
Obas was charged with 1 count of trafficking Marijuana by manufacture, and 1 count of maintaining a dwelling place for keeping and or selling an illegal controlled substance. The seized Marijuana plants have an estimated street value of $388,800.00.
Obas was jailed under a $25,000.00 unsecured bond.
