Rhonda Kaye Williams (48) of 320 S. Plank Rd., Sanford was arrested at her home by Lee County Sheriff’s Office Detectives and charged w/ 1st degree Murder for the death Bryant Latrelle Martin. Williams is being held under no bond. Williams’ version of events that occurred at her residence on 7/13/2017 didn’t match up w/ evidence found on scene.

7/13/2017 @ 10:52AM The Lee County Sheriff’s Office was called to 320 S. Plank Rd. in Lee County to a man who had been shot. Upon deputies arrival they found Bryant Latrelle Martin (29) of 281 S. Plank Rd. Sanford in the yard and had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. Martin was pronounced deceased on scene.
The homeowner of 320 S. Plank Rd., reported she heard her door knob being jiggled and retrieved her pistol. When she answered the door she reported Martin attempted to force his way into her residence and got into a struggle w/ Martin. The homeowner reported she fired her weapon several times at Martin and he fled. The homeowner’s son called 911. The investigation is ongoing.
