Frutis Cruz (31) of 208 Makepeace St. Sanford was arrested after he picked up a
15 year old female student from Lee Senior High School without the permission of her
parents.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office SRO on duty at Lee Senior recognized
Cruz from being banned from the campus and witnessed the student get into his vehicle
before the start of school.
Cruz was apprehended by SRO officer and was charged
w felonious restraint, abduction of a child, contributing to the delinquency of
a minor and trespassing; he was held under $50,000 secured bond.
