Charlotte Avenue Man Arrested for Drugs & Stolen Firearm

On Tuesday July 10, 2018, Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agents assisted the North Carolina State Highway Patrol in the arrest of Tyron Lamont Jones Jr age 19, of 906 Charlotte Avenue, Sanford. 

Agents found Jones to be in possession of a stolen .40 caliber Glock pistol and approximately 25 grams of marijuana. 

Agents transported Jones to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for processing. Agents charged Tyron Lamont Jones Jr with one count of carrying a concealed firearm, one count of possession of a stolen firearm, and one count of misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Jones was jailed under a $25,000.00 secured bond.
