Man Arrested After Pointing Firearm at Deputies

11/24/2018 Jimmy Deleon of 83 Ayers Ln. Sanford reported his neighbor was in the woods pointing a rifle at his residence.

Deputies arrived and found Harold Wayne Ayers (53) of 197 Ayers Ln. Sanford in the woods near 83 Ayers Ln.


Deputies observed Ayres in the wood line with a rifle. Deputies attempted to talk Ayes out of the woods to no avail. At one point Ayres pointed a rifle at the deputies on scene. Ayers was later arrested at his home and charged with assault on a law enforcement officer w/ a firearm, assault by pointing a gun and communicating threats; he was held under $11,500 secured bond.
