Couple Arrested During Traffic Stop for Drugs & Warrants

On Friday morning May 3, 2019, Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agents arrested Stephen Chad Cameron age 29 of 1005 Pendergrass Road, Sanford, and Heather Lynn Valdez age 26 of 6132 Lemon Springs Road. 

During the course of a traffic stop agents discovered that both Cameron and Valdez were in possession of 22 dosage units of Clonazepam prescription pills that were illegally obtained. 


Agents also discovered that Stephen Chad Cameron had three extraditable warrants for grand theft auto entered NCIC from Orange County Florida. 


Agents transported both Cameron and Valdez to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for processing and charges.

Agents charged Cameron and Valdez each with one count of possession with the intent to sell and deliver 22 dosage units of Clonazepam prescription pills, one count of felony maintaining a vehicle for the purpose of storing and selling a controlled substance, and one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Stephen Chad Cameron was jailed under a $25,000.00 secured bond and Valdez was jailed under a $25,000.00 secured bond. Also Cameron will be held under no bond for extradition for Orange County, Florida in regards to the three counts of grand theft larceny.
