Man Arrested For Drugs At Lee County Jail

On Tuesday April 30, 2019, Lee County jail staff located 2 grams of marijuana on Darrion Antwon McIver. North Carolina Probation and Parole agents had arrested McIver for violation of probation. Lee County Jail staff was processing McIver into the facility when they discovered McIver had attempted to smuggle marijuana into the facility. Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agents arrested Darrion McIver, age 23, of 428 Goldsboro Avenue, Sanford, and charged McIver with one count of felony possession of a controlled substance inside a confinement facility, and one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. McIver was jailed under an additional $5,000.00 secured bond.
