Deputies responded to 121 Leon’s Way in reference to an active assault. Deputies found a 29-yr. old female on scene being held against her will.
The victim reported she was struck several times, held against her will and that the suspect discharged a pistol into the house during the incident.
Daniel Carlton Sproul (47) of 121 Leon’s Way, Sanford was taken into custody by deputies on scene and charged with 2nd degree kidnapping, discharging a firearm into an occupied property to incite fear, assault on a female and communicating threats; he was held under no bond in the Lee County Jail.
