Two Men Arrested; Charged with Robbery

10/11/2019 Kevin Seymore Rollins Jr. of 152 S. Steele St. Sanford reported he solicited a ride from an acquaintance around 9:30 PM. Rollins reported he was picked up as expected at his residence by Nelson Torres and David Casey McMains. Rollins reported when they stopped at the intersection of Poplar Springs Church Rd and San Lee Dr., Torres (passenger) pointed a pistol at him and demanded his wallet, cell phone and a pocket knife. Rollins was made to exit the vehicle at the intersection and the suspects drove off.

Nelson John Torres (27) of 308 Winterlocken Dr. Sanford NC and David Casey McMains (26) of 209 Carbonton Rd. Sanford NC were both charged with robbery w/ a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery; both were held under $50,000 secured bond.
