The homeowner, Larry Ray II, advised he left his residence around 7:15 am, returning back home around 5:50 pm. The homeowner advised he could smell smoke upon arriving, but continued to open the front door to his residence. Upon opening the door, the homeowner noticed the inside was burnt. The homeowner then called 911 for assistance.
The Lee County Fire Marshall, along with detectives of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office were notified and made an initial determination of arson.
