National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. This year the event will be held on August 7th, from 6-8 pm.
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
- Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs;
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
- Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
The following locations will be staffed with both department and neighborhood residents. If you reside in the county jurisdiction and are interested in volunteering at one of these locations, please contact Lt. Dana Elliott @ 919-775-5531 ext.5629.
