The Sheriff Tracy L. Carter Scholarship Program will be awarding up to a $500 college scholarship(s), subject to availability of funds to a student(s) graduating high school in Lee County. This scholarship is good for any post-secondary education including trade or technical schools.
Applicant must be a Lee County resident for the past twelve months. Scholarships are to be utilized at a certified institution of higher learning.
Applications are available at all Lee County High School guidance offices or at the Lee County Sheriff's Office, located at 1401 Elm Street, Sanford. You may also request one via emai by contacting that office at sheriff@leecountync.gov
The deadline for all applications is April 1st, 2008. Applications are to be mailed to Sheriff Tracy L. Carter Scholarship Program, 1401 Elm Street, Sanford, NC 27330. Announcement of awards will be made by April 15th.
(The college must be contacted for verification or enrollment prior to checks being processed)
