UPDATE AS OF 4/28/2010
Tomorcus Antoine Lee (27) B/M of 306 Linden Ave. Raleigh NC was arrested for assault w/a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and 2nd degree trespassing; he was held under $30,000 secured bond. Lee’s arrest is in connection with an April 16th assault of William Sidney Burton (70) of 172 Hickory House Rd. Lee was going door to door attempting to sell vacuum cleaners and was asked to leave Burton’s property. After being asked several times to leave Burton’s property, Lee struck Burton w/a handheld vacuum in the head. Burton received a laceration to his head which required medical attention. Lee County has a County Ordinance that prohibits door to door sales w/out a permit.

A Lee county resident reported he was assaulted by a Kirby Vacuum Cleaner salesman after he asked the salesman to leave his residence. The suspect was described as a black male, 5’5” tall, driving a Blue Chevrolet Astro Van. Anyone that may have come into contact with this person on 4/16/10 is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
