16 Month Old Drowns in Pool

09/25/2010 @ 5:43 PM deputies were called to 3615 Pilson Rd. to a child drowning. The child, a 16 month old boy, was transported to CCH-ER where the child was later pronounced dead.

The parents, Lierin Lindquist and Bruce “Tyler” Murchison of 772 Red Branch Rd. in Carthage both reported they were at Murchison’s father’s home visiting the child when the child got out of the site of both parents. The child was found a short period of time later in a 4 ft swimming pool connected to the home by a deck. The child’s body was sent to UNC Hospital for an autopsy. The investigation is ongoing.
