Drug Units Busy This Week

Lee County Narcotics Agents charged Jarelle Lamar Woodard, 20, of 2009 Rosser Pittman Road, Broadway, on 9-30-2010 for felony possession of a controlled substance in a jail facility, simple possession of Marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia after he attempted to smuggle a small amount of Marijuana into the Lee County Jail. Woodard was originally arrested on an order for arrest for failing to appear in Lee County Court on charges of possession with intent to sell Marijuana. He was placed in the Lee County Jail under $7,500.00 secured bond.

On 9-29-2010, members of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and the Sanford Police Departments Tactical Narcotics Team executed a search warrant at 5413 Bridal Path, Sanford. As a result of the search, agents seized 4 marijuana plants behind the home and several ounces of processed Marijuana inside the home. Agents charged Joshua Hendrick Van Ravestein, 25, of the home for Manufacturing Marijuana, maintaining a dwelling to store drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released under 20,000.00 unsecured bond.


Eugene Cook, 54, of 3966 Rosser Pittman Road, Broadway, was arrested on 9-30-2010 for sell and delivery of a controlled substance, conspiracy to sell a controlled substance and maintaining a vehicle for allegedly selling Morphine pills to an undercover agent during a joint operation by members of the Lee County Sheriff Office Narcotics Division and the Broadway Police Department. Cook was placed in the Lee County Jail under $5000.00 secured bond.
