11/28/2010 Chadburn Mauldin of 6300 Ponderosa Rd. Sanford reported his 2001 Chevrolet truck was struck by gun fire while in front of 281 Frank Wicker Rd. Mauldin reported he observed Michael G. Godfrey (59) W/M of 281 Frank Wicker Rd. point a shotgun at his vehicle as he drove by his residence. Mauldin reported at that time his vehicle was struck in the windshield. Mauldin reported he was acquainted w/ Godfrey but gave no explanation why Godfrey may shoot at his vehicle. Godfrey was charged with attempted murder, discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle and assault w/ a deadly weapon w/ intent to kill; he was held under $50,000 secured bond.
