Agents Report Three Arrests in Drug Searches


Daniel Burdette Martinez, 31, of 129 Luck Lane, Sanford, was arrested by Lee County Drug Agents after a search of his home revealed 124 Marijuana plants growing in on outbuilding located on his property. Martinez was initially charged with misuse of the 911 System after deputies responded to his address after receiving numerous 911 calls from the home. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Martinez at the home and apparently under the influence of “Bath Salts”. While at the home, uniform officers developed probable cause to believe that Marijuana was growing at the home. The uniform officers contacted drug agents, who obtained a search warrant for the home, which resulted in the seizure. Martinez was also charged with Manufacturing Marijuana, maintaining a dwelling to store drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Lee County Jail under $10,000.00 secured bond.

Other Arrests:

Lee County and Sanford City drug agents executed a search warrant at 1015 Boykin Ave., Sanford on 3-30-2011 as part of a joint investigation. As a result of the search, agents seized 30 grams of Marijuana and arrested Antonio Tremayne Mckay and charged him with possession with intent to sell Marijuana, maintaining a dwelling to store drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Lee County Jail Under $15,000.00 secured bond.

Marcus Antoine Johnson, also of the home, was charged with possession of Marijuana and paraphernalia. He was cited and released.

Michael Lee Cameron, 20, of 3664 Carbonton road, Sanford, was arrested on 3-31-2011 for possession of drug paraphernalia and placed in the Lee County Jail under $500.00 secured bond after agents searched her home. Dennis James Haire II, also of the home was arrested for possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of II substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Lee County jail under $3000.00 secured bond.
