Two Local Men Indicted by Federal Grand Jury


Two Lee County residents have been indicted by a United States Federal Grand Jury out of the Middle District of North Carolina in Greensboro for federal firearms violations.

Tony Lee Swann, 45, of 2904 Airport Road, Sanford, was arrested on 4-2-2011 by Lee County Deputies and turned over to US Marshalls in Greensboro. Swann was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The federal charges stem from an incident that occurred on 8-30-2011 in Lee County and after Swann had been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and various drug charges by Lee County Sheriff’s Detectives.

Brandon Gerard Gray, 30, of 547 Forest Wood Park, Sanford, has been indicted by the federal grand jury for possession of a firearm by convicted felon. Gray was arrested by Lee County Detectives on 7-25-2010 for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and kidnapping and has remained in the Lee County Jail. He will be transferred to the custody of the US Marshalls.
