Message From The United Way of Lee County

Lee County, thank you for your continued support and compassion you've shown to your fellow citizens. Here is a message from the United Way of Lee county that I wanted to pass on...

In the aftermath of the weekend tornado, there are many people displaced from homes and jobs in our community. Many of these may be your friends, neighbors, co-workers or employees. As expected, the needs are tremendous. Local non-profits such as the Red Cross, Salvation Army, CUOC and many other local organizations are working diligently with Lee Co Emergency Services to provide food, housing, etc. those in need. The United Way information and referral line, 2-1-1, is also available with updated information.

There are also many wonderful people and organizations that want to volunteer their time, energy and services to assist. In an effort to coordinate these generous offers, individuals, groups and organizations are asked to contact Michele Bullard/United Way Program Services Director at michelebullard@leecountyunitedway.org or (919) 777-7744 or (919) 935-2089. Michele is coordinating volunteers for the Emergency Operations Center/EOC for our community.

Please feel free to distribute this information as needed.
