NBC17 came to visit our county this past week and filed the following story. For the record, Lee County is NOT the only NC county facing this issue. ALL of our surrounding counties are experiencing the same. Your Sheriff's department and the Sanford PD are committed to the citizens of this county to continue to chip away at those that continue to engage in illegal activity in regards to selling and buying RX drugs.

I would also add that we have several great recovery facilities in our area, including Light House Recovery in Sanford. If you have a loved one or friend dealing with a similar crisis, you have a responsibility to act now and get them help because most likely, they won't do it on their own.
