It has been 11 years since the 9-11 attacks, when hijacked commercial jetliners were crashed into the twin towers of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon by al-Qaida terrorists.
I was reading several posts online yesterday of where people were remembering their activities that day and what they were doing the exact moment of the attacks. I know each of us have our own recollection of what happened, what we were doing and how we felt when we began to see the news reports and images...
I also remember the "community" that we all felt following this tragic event. Personally, I think this event brought us closer together as a nation than anything prior.
Take time today to pay respects to those that lost their lives that day and honor those who have sacrificed their lives since.
