9/24/2012 @ 6:21 AM Anthony Wayne Giles of 69 Hickory Nut Ct. Sanford reported he was encountered by 2 black males wearing masks as he got into his vehicle. Giles reported one of the two men produced a handgun and ordered him from his vehicle. Giles reported as he exited his vehicle he was struck in the leg and several times in the head w/ a bat. Giles reported he got away from the suspects and fled into his home where his wife called 911. Giles reported the suspect s fled on foot. Giles described the suspects as both being 5-08 to 5-10 in height, one heavy build and one medium build. Giles reported the heavy build suspect was wearing a ski mask, tan jacket and dark pants; the medium build suspect was wearing a ski mask and all dark clothing. Giles was treated and released at CCH-ER for his injuries.
The Lee County Sheriff Office is urging anyone w/ information or that may have seen these people or their vehicle in the area of Hollywood Rd please call the Sheriff’s Office at 919-775-5531.
The Sheriff’s Office is offering a reward for ANY information.
