The state requires at least 24 hours of training per year, but the Lee
County Sheriff’s Office requires at least 40 hours per year.
This week, staff is attending a training school hosted by the Harnett County Sheriff's Dept. This training covers a multitude of situations, from clearing a school or building to locating an armed suspect.
