Six Arrested on Drug Charges

Richard V. Tabon, 28, of 414 E. Tenth Street, Sanford , was arrested on 5-29-2013 for Possession with intent to sell Marijuana, Possession with intent to sell a Schedule II controlled substance (Percocet) and Possession of drug paraphernalia after a surveillance operation by members of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division. Tabon was placed in the Lee County Jail under $12,000.00 secured bond.

Tracey Lynn Smith, 47, of 100 S. Sixth Street Sanford, was arrested on 5-30-2013 for Trafficking Opium, Conspiracy to traffic Opium, and maintaining a dwelling to store drugs after an undercover operation by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division. She was placed in the Lee County Jail under $45,000.00 secured bond.

Jeremy Daquan McKendall, 19, of 302 N. First Street, Sanford, was arrested on 5-29-2013 for Trafficking Opium, Maintaining a vehicle to store drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia after a surveillance operation by Lee County Sheriff’s Office drug Agents. He was placed in the Lee County Jail under $200,000.00 secured bond.

Chad Foster Eddins, 36, of 3114 Hickory Hill Road, Sanford, and Derrick James Haire, 20, of 1061 Saunders Road, Sanford, were arrested after attempting to obtain a controlled substance (Xanax) by fraud from a local Pharmacy. Eddins was charged with possession of a schedule IV controlled substance (Xanax) and Haire was charged with attempting to obtain a controlled substance by fraud. Haire was placed in the Lee County Jail under $6000.00 secured bond and Eddins was placed in the Lee County Jail under $2500.00 secured bond.

Kenneth Wayne Mckoy, 43, of Lot 10 Harts Mobile Home Park, was arrested on 5-30-2013 for Manufacturing Marijuana, maintaining a dwelling to store drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia after 4 Marijuana plants were seized from his home. He was placed in the Lee County Jail under $15,000.00 secured bond.
