Broadway Man Arrested for Local Robberies



·         10/17/2013 @ 4:32 PM Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 1269 Greenwood Rd. (Mom and Me Refurbished Treasures) in reference to the business being robbed. The clerk at the business reported a white male came into the business and asked for change. When the clerk opened the register the man jumped over the counter and knocked her to the ground and took cash from the register. The suspect, white male, left in a Burgundy Honda. The vehicle was located several miles from the business, abandoned. Lee County Deputies located the suspect on foot and gave chase where the suspect was lost in the woods. Assisted by Harnett County Canine Officers and NC Highway Patrol, Lee County Deputies apprehended the suspect on foot near Edwards Rd. and Sheriff Watson Rd. after over an hour long search.  James Joseph Noeth Jr. (30) W/M of 141 Ramos Dr. Broadway NC (Harnett County) was taken into custody and was found with the money in his pocket that was taken from the business. Noeth was charged with common law robbery and felonious larceny and possession of a stolen motor vehicle by Lee County investigators. Noeth was also served with warrants from Harnett County for robbery w/ a dangerous weapon for robbing the Seminole Mart on 10/16/2013 and larceny of a motor vehicle and warrants for the Sanford Police Department for robbery w/ a dangerous weapon for robbing the Kangaroo located at 4470 Hwy 87 South on 10/17/2013; he was held under a total $195,000 secured bond.
