Theodore Roger Worthy Jr. (59) B/M of 149 Variety Ln. Sanford NC was arrested for 1st degree kidnapping, 2 cts of 1st degree sexual offense, crimes against nature and possession of firearm by felon; he was held under $350,000 secured bond.

The victim in this case reported they met Worthy around 7:30 PM
on 5/16/2014 to purchase drugs and that’s when Worthy told him he’d have
following him back to his residence for the drugs. The victim reported when
they got to Worthy’s residence he pulled a pistol on him and forced him to go
to an abandoned house a few doors down from Variety Ln. This is where Worthy forced
sexual acts on the victim. The victim later escaped from Worthy at a local
convenience store and contacted law enforcement. Worthy is a registered sex
offender.
