Oak Leaf Rd Man Arrested for Rape / Kidnapping

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 cell phone call from a female reporting she needed help from being in an altercation w/ a male party and the line was disconnected. Deputies responded to the area of Beacon Rd at approximately 12:55 AM 5/13/2014 and were unable to locate any problems nor able to call the number back. A 39 yr old female reported at approximately 5AM at the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office she had been kidnapped in Lee County and drove to Hoke County and raped by an individual whom she was on a date w/ earlier in the evening.

The victim reported Corry Brooks became enraged w/ her after resisting his advances while at his residence at 602 Oak Leaf Rd. Sanford and she ran into the bathroom and called 911. She reported he then took her cell phone and forced her into his vehicle stating he was taking her home. The victim reported she jumped out the vehicle window at one point and was forced back into the vehicle. The victim reported Brooks drove to a dead end road in Hoke County and forced her into the back of his vehicle and raped her. The victim reported after the rape the victim drove her to her residence. The victim then called law enforcement and was seen at Cape Fear Valley ER in Fayetteville NC. The victim suffered a broken arm during the incident.

Corry Paul Brooks (34) W/M of 602 Oak Leaf Rd. Sanford was arrested for 1st degree rape, 1st degree kidnapping, and felonious assault by strangulation, felonious assault inflicting serious bodily injury and interfering w/ 911 communications.  Brooks was held under $350,000 secured bond.
