Carolina Trace Resident - Latest Arrest For Drug Investigation

Late yesterday afternoon a month long investigation into a mid-level Heroin trafficking supplier located in Lee County came to an end.

The investigation conducted by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and assisted by the North Carolina State Bureau of investigations, United States DEA, United States Homeland Security and the Sanford Police Department, lead to the arrest of Rene Omar Anderson age 57 of 1802 Irish Boulevard Sanford NC, 27330.

Anderson, a resident of the Carolina Trace Community, was arrested and charged with 2 counts of trafficking Heroin by possession, 2 counts of trafficking Heroin by sell, 2 counts of possession with the intent to sell and deliver Heroin, one count sell and deliver Heroin, 5 counts of felony maintaining a dwelling place for the storage of controlled substance and 3 counts of drug paraphernalia. Anderson was jailed under a $425,000.00 secured bond.
