On Wednesday March 11, 2015 Lee County Narcotics agents
ended a near 8 month long investigation that involved three local Lee County
residents. Lee County Narcotics agents assisted by the NC State Bureau Of
Investigations, Sanford Police Department Tactical Narcotics Team, United
States DEA, US Homeland Security Investigations and the Harnett County
Sheriff’s Office, arrested Victor Manuel Lemus age 25 of 1023 San Lee Drive
Sanford.
Victor Manuel Lemus the local head of the organization was charged with 9 counts of trafficking in Heroin, 1 count of sell and delivery of Heroin, 2 counts of possession with the intent to sell and deliver Heroin, 5 counts of felony maintaining a dwelling place for the storage and sells of an illegal controlled substance, 4 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and 2 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Victor Manuel Lemus the local head of the organization was charged with 9 counts of trafficking in Heroin, 1 count of sell and delivery of Heroin, 2 counts of possession with the intent to sell and deliver Heroin, 5 counts of felony maintaining a dwelling place for the storage and sells of an illegal controlled substance, 4 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and 2 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Lee County agents also
arrested and charged Elliann Hernandez Perez (wife of Victor Manuel Lemus)
age 28 of 1023 San Lee Drive Sanford as a direct connection to the case. She was charged with 3 counts of felony maintaining a
dwelling place for the storage and sells of illegal controlled substance inside
of their home located at 1023 San Lee Drive Sanford.
Phillip Matthew Polito age
28 of 525 Walnut Drive was arrested and charged with 1 count of possession with
the intent to sell and deliver Heroin, 1 count of sell and deliver Heroin, 1
count of felony maintaining a dwelling for the storage and sells of illegal
controlled substance and 1 count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Victor
Manuel Lemus was jailed under a $1.6 million dollar secured bond.
Perez was
jailed under a $20,000.00 secured bond and Phillip Matthew Polito was jailed
under a $40,000.00 secured bond.
